In the six years since its inception, Stephanie Spencer has established her namesake millinery label as one of the most sought after in Australia- with a style known to be as playful as it is polished, and with designs that float between millinery and artistry.
Stephanie moved to Melbourne from Perth in 2011 after a completing a B.A in Fashion and Textiles from Curtin University. It was always her intention to create a label that embodied considered and methodical production. Her pieces showcase her infatuation with contemporary forms, colours and textures, constructed through traditional blocking, construction and hand sewing techniques. She embodies the dichotomy of traditional techniques resisting a world of fast fashion.
Stephanie has collaborated with designers including Toni Maticevski and Romance was Born, has featured on numerous Vamff runways, has been featured in Vogue, RUSSH magazine and on the cover of Elle, and last year released an exclusive bridal line in collaboration Kyha Studios.
In 2020 Stephanie Spencer won Australasia's most coveted millinery award, the Myer VRC Millinery award.
Stephanie's favourite things include buying vintage Issey Miyake dresses off ebay, cultivating her indoor jungle, drinking cold red wine and pining for the beaches in Perth.
